San Antonio is the seventh-largest city in the United States. It provides great photo opportunities and a travel destination to its theme park, historic location or national park.

Digital pictures make it easy to capture every memorable moment. But after a while all those pictures are sitting on your hard drive waiting to be shared, printed and enjoyed. There are lots of ways to do it these days from creating slideshows and screensavers to digital frames and shared online albums. However nothing can compare to an actual printed photograph, or better yet a photo book.
Coming back from a trip I often have pictures that look like postcards. These are always great ho have in your albums, photo books and galleries, but I always feel there is more you can do.
One interesting idea is to submit them to photo contests. Discover America through Postcards® accepts pictures from U.S., Canada, Mexico, or South America, selects finalists and makes them into e-postcards featured weekly on the Postcards from America website.
I submitted a picture from Miami, FL and it is now a second finalist in the contest. It was taken from my hotel room window. This was one of the rare occasions when a garden view trumped ocean view hands down. So keep shooting, you never know where your award worthy shoot will come from.
Passport to National Parks is a great program that adds interest to the national parks visits. Every time I go to a new place I am checking to see if any stamp locations are nearby. It pays to be prepared before you go. Combining online resources with the information in the Passport Guide can save hours spent driving in circles looking for possible locations.
